Here’s one the biggest misunderstandings of BCR2000 and BCF2000’s they don’t use any presets but instead load, on the fly, a temporary preset for each virtual device directly from Reason. One, Reason does things different than all other digital audio workstations (DAW) out there for the BCR and BCF. Other DAW’s allow you to use profiles of the hardware (known as “presets” on the BCF & BCR) or emulate Mackie controllers for the BCF in particular (not supported on the BCR).
Most things mentioning using BCR and BCF’s online are really old whereas all of this was tested using Reason 9.x on Windows 10 and macOS. Reason is completely unique in how it handles hardware MJ BCR & BCF Remote Maps version 1.5 prevents future versions of Reason from overriding the BCR and BCR remote files.
Instead of dumping files online and making people figure it out for themselves, I’m gonna’ explain this situation as no one else has. Before understanding how to do this, it’s important to understand why so many forum posts, videos and other information regarding Behringer BCR2000 and BCF2000’s are well-meaning but wrong when it comes to Reason. Before creating this method, it wasn’t possible to control the individual channel settings of Propellerhead Reason’s virtual SSL mixer with a BCR2000.
